Itea virginica ‘Henry’s Garnet’
Erect upright shrub with long spires, up to 6″, of fragrant white flowers in late spring to early summer. Its habit is strongly suckering and will form a large rounded colony. Leaves turn a brilliat garnet color in the fall and will remain on the plant often through December. Naturalizes well, good for wet area especially near ponds. Plant in sun to full shade in medium to wet soil. Height: 4-5 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Hardy in zones 5-9. Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
