False Sunflower Bleeding Hearts or Heliopsis helianthoides,

is a perennial that radial-colored blooms that are different for each flower. From a copper, to gold, to orange look. Each one being a beautiful stark color all coming from the same plant. While they look similar to sunflowers, unlike them they keep their petals until the flower fades. It grows best in full sun to part shade in well- drained soil but can tolerate thicker soils like clay. It grows 3-6ft tall and 2-4ft wide. It blooms from Summer-Fall and loses its leaves in the Fall. It attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. It is resistant to deer, rabbits, drought, heat, and poor soil.
