Dianthus Cheddar Pinks

Dianthus Cheddar Pink or Dianthus Gratianopolitanus,

is a unique perennial that has solid pink petals with a deeper red at its center. It grows many short stemmed blooms that cover the foliage beneath it. These hardy plants are great for ground covering in full sun areas with their grassy foliage and multiple blooms. They grow 1ft tall and 1-2 ft wide and bloom from May-June and if dead headed, it will produce more blooms later in the summer. They grow best in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil that gets occasionally dry. It gets its name from its location of origin, Cheddar George in southwest England. It is poisonous to humans, cats, dogs, and horses. It is resistant to deer, drought, humidity, rabbits, and salt. We ship this plant in a 4in & 1-gallon container.
