Description

Punica granatum ‘Grenada’

Grenada resembles Wonderful with dark red skin and deep red arils.  The fruit is a little less tart than Wonderful. Pomegranates are a self-fruitful, deciduous small tree or shrub.  The orange flowers in late spring to early summer are followed by the red fruit.  Our plants are on their own roots and will be  7-10 feet tall at maturity. Plant in full sun for best  fruit production but can tolerant some shade. Requires 500 hours of chilling.  Fruit ripens in September a littler earlier than Wonderful.  Hardy in zones 7-10.  Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
