Actinidia Arguta ‘Ken’s Red’
This hardy kiwi produces large tasty fruit with a smooth red skin and red flesh. It is a female selection and requires a male pollinator to bear fruit. In general only one male is needed for each nine females. Kiwi are vigorous vines and require a sturdy arbor or trellis to support the vine and fruit. Plant in full sun to part shade in well drained moist soil. Requires 700 or less chill hours. Hardy in zones 6-9. Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
