Coreopsis Rosea

Tickseed or Coreopsis Rosea,

is an herbaceous perennial that grow pretty pink radial blooms with yellow in the center.  They grow above the grassy foliage with long stems creating a pink sea when grown in volume.  They grow best in medium moisture, well-drained soil, and full sun.  They do poorly in standing water and drought conditions, so maintaining a well-drained consistent moisture can time consuming without an irrigation system.  It grows 1-2ft tall and 1.5-2.5ft wide.  It blooms in the summer to early fall.  It will self-seed if the blooms are not deadheaded, however pruning the heads will encourage more blooms to appear.  It attracts butterflies and is tolerant of deer.  We ship this plant in 4in & 1-gallon containers.
