is a hardy southeastern native perennial that grows large white blooms with deep pink and the center. It is native to swamps, river banks, moist meadows & wood areas. It needs moist soil in order to thrive and is suggested to be used for rain gardens. or will need to be watered frequently. Its petals last for only a day or two but the plant sprouts new blooms every day filling the bush. When it is at its climax it will produce up to 20 blooms a day. This process happens from July-September. It grows 2-3ft tall and 1-2ft wide and grows best in full sun. It attracts butterflies and is tolerate to deer & wet soil. It has a hardiness zone of 5-9. Growth is quite rapid when it starts in the summer. If a bushier form is desirable, then pruning deadheads in the fall will produces more shoots in the spring. Japanese beetles can damage the plant if left unchecked. We ship this plant in a 1-gallon container.
