Sunburst Boxwood or Buxus sinica var. insularis ‘Sunburst’
Is very similar to other broadleaf evergreen boxwoods of the same species. The biggest difference is the pattern on the leaves. Instead of a solid green color, the edges are yellow, leaving a yellow outline around the entire leaf. Some leaves have more yellow, almost to the point there can be no green showing. They are very short growers only reaching to a height of 2-2.5ft with a width of 3-4ft. They grow in full sun to part shade. Their recommended use is for areas in the garden used for hedges. They are shipped in 1-gallon containers.
