Description
‘Russell’s Cottage Rose’ is a vigorous climbing polyantha that is also known as ‘Old Spanish Rose’. First introduced in 1826, it blooms profusely in late spring to early summer. It is a once bloomer that attracts birds, hummingbirds, and butterflies. Has a wonderful fragrance. Double blooms begin as deep-crimson or violet-red and fade to pink with white stripes – they are ideal for cut arrangements. It grows 10′-12′ and is a terrific choice for a pergola or structure. It is hardy to zone 5.
