Description
Citrus latifolia ‘Persiam Lime’
The Persian lime tree has no thorns and produces thicker-skinned fruit larger than the Key lime which keeps longer. The fruit is oval-shaped, about the same size as a lemon, with a vivid green peel which turns yellow when ripe. It is usually seedless, and has light-green to yellow pulp which is tender and acidic, yet lacking the distinctive bouquet of the Key lime. It can be used interchangeably for the same purposes as Key limes and lemons. A good container plant. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Hardy in zones 9-10. We offer this plant in a one gallon size and a 3 gallon size which we ship bare root Sorry we cannot ship citrus trees to Arizona, California, Texas, Louisiana or Florida.
