Ficus carica ‘Pappa John’
An unknown fig brought to this country by a Greek immigrant. It has dark purple skin with red flesh and delicious sweet flavor. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Figs are not particular about their soil they can be planted in sandy soil or clay soil. Self-fruitful. They make an excellent container plant for your deck or patio. Height 7-12 feet. Hardy in zones 8-10. Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
