Oak Leaf Hydrangeas Hydrangea quercifolia, ‘Ellen Huff’’
Oak Leaf Hydrangeas are a southern landscape staple. Their beauty spreads itself over all four seasons with their large, rich green deeply lobed, spring and summer foliage, their beautiful large 8” long white panicles of flowers in summer, their spectacular fall color and their attractive peeling orange-brown bark that is so apparent in winter. Ellen Huff is a vigorous grower that can reach 4-6’ high and nearly equal width in a few short years. Blooms July-Aug. Partial sun with afternoon shade is best. Moderate water. Great in the back of the border, as a massed planting, specimens, a hedge, or anywhere where you can see it! Zone 5-9. Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
