Aloysia triphylla
Lemon verbena is a woody shrub with lemon-scented leaves. There are small purple flower spikes in summer. It can be used fresh or dried and is a favorite for herbal teas. We have made lemon verbena cheesecake and lemon verbena sherbert for some of our seminars. Full sun to light shade. Height 2 to 4 feet in containers and in areas where freezing temperatures occur. Perennial Zone 8-10 Plants are shipped in 3.5″ containers.
