Imperial White Plumbago

Imperial White or Plumbago,

is a perennial with white tubular forming petals. Here in Alabama, it grows 2-3ft tall and 1-3ft wide due to the climate. It only grows in the summer and with our heat stunts the growth. In more tropical climates it will grow 6-15ft tall and 6-8ft wide. The blooms grow in clusters surfacing the top of the stems that they grow on producing lots of white color in large clusters. It blooms summer through fall. Grows best in full sun to part shade and in well-drained soil. It is useful for hedges, mass planting, containers, and even as a house plant. Do not consume as any part of the plant is poisonous to humans. Plants are ship in a 4″ container.
