A favorite of our grandmothers, Hens and Chicks or Hens and Biddies as they are known here in the South offers easy care and drought tolerance. They can be planted in rock gardrens and containers for your porch or patio. These succulents look especially nice in strawberry jars. Plant in full sun in sandy well drained soil. Height 4 to 6 inches. Perennial in zones 2-9. Plants are shipped in 3.5 inch containers.
