It should be noted that regardless of the type of kiwi selection a male variety must always be planted with female selections for proper pollination and fruiting. In general one male plant is needed for each nine females. This is a non bearing plant. Kiwis are vigorous plants and need a sturdy arbor or trellis for support. Plant in full sun or part shade in well drained moist soil. Hardy in zones 5-9. Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
