Rubus ‘Kiowa’
High quality, erect growing, thorny type blackberry which produces a very large and delicious fruit. Introduced by the University of Arkansas it is the largest berry currently available. The harvest period in central Alabama should run from June 4 to July 12. It is self-fruitful and may be planted in the garden as a single variety. This variety seems to have good disease resistance to most diseases. Chill hours required 200. Plant in full sun. Hardy in zones 7-9. Propagation prohibited. Plants are shipped in 1 quart containers.
