Gardenia thunbergia ‘Rosedown’
Small glossy evergreen foliage with white fragrant flowers from spring to frost. Orange-red hips are produced in the fall but you need corss pollination with another gardenia to produce the hips. Greg Grant made this heavy flowering selection from a batch of seed he collected from Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana. Makes a good hedge, border plant or specimen. Plant in full sun to part shade in well drained soil. Height 5 ro 10 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide. Hardy in zones 8-12. Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
