Carolina Jessamine Gelsemium sempervirens
A beautiful and popular evergreen native vine that grows to 20 feet or more. Covered by sweetly scented yellow tubular flowers in spring. Full sun to part shade though it will grow fuller and be more prolific in full sun. Very adaptable and drought tolerant once established. Grow on fence, trellis, arbor, or trees; can also be used as a ground cover. Attracts native bees, hummingbirds and Spicebush swallowtail butterflies. (Flowers, leaves and roots toxic to humans, livestock if consumed) Hardy in zones 7-11. Plants are shipped in one gallon containers.
