Nippon or Montauk Daisy

Nippon or Montauk Daisy or Nipponanthemum Nipponicum,

is a perennial that grows radial white blooms with a yellow center. The blooms grow to be 2-3 in in size and bloom in the fall.  They grow on long stems with the bloom standing above its foliage. They grow best in full sun and in well-drained soil. It can sit in a little bit of shade in hotter climates, but less shade is better. Removing flowers that are spent will encourage additional blooms to sprout. It does not tolerate wet soil well and needs to remain dry but tolerates being dry well. It has no insect or disease issues. It attracts butterflies. We ship this plant in a 4″ container.
