Winter jasmine is a mounded plant with green, arching stems that cascade over walls and embankments, creating a mounded, sprawling form when allowed to grow unimpeded. It has small, lustrous, trifoliate leaves that fall with the first frost. Though deciduous, the green stems give it an evergreen appearance. The non-fragrant yellow flowers appear along the stems in late winter or very early spring before the leaves. Can be grown as an arching shrub or trained as a vine. Good as a ground cover or trained over a wall. Plant in full sun, but will tolerate some shade, in well drained soil. Height 4-7 feet tall and 3-6 feet wide. Hardy in zones 6-9. We ship this in a 1 gallon container.
