Diospyros kaki ‘Izu’
Izu is a non-astringent persimmon when firm and very sweet. It can be eaten firm or very soft. The fruit ripens to an cinnamon orange color in October. It will become a 10-15 foot tree when fully grown. It requires 400 hours of chilling. Hardy in zones 7-10. Our trees are shipped bareroot.
