Hosta ‘Fire Island’
Small to medium hosta with brilliant yellow leaves on red petioles. Red coloring from the base of the petiole up into the leaves. Ovate leaves are slightly corrugated with rippled margins at maturity. The leaves turn to chatreuse as they age. Lavender flowers in mid summer are very attractive to hummingbirds. Vigorous grower best in full shade. Height: 10 to 14 inches with a spread of 15 to 30 inches. Perennial in zones 3-9. Plants are shipped in 3.5 inch containers.
