Rosa roxburghii ‘Chestnut Rose’ Prior to 1814
Chestnut rose has been an old Southern favorite. The double light fragrant pink blooms open from a mossy bud. The rose hips resemble a chestnut burr. A fine addition to any rose planting or perennial border. Makes a good specimen plant. Height 5 to 7 feet tall and wide. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Hardy in zones 6 through 9. Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
