Spiera prunifolia ‘Bridalwreath’

This spiraea has an upright open habit with most of the foliage on the upper half of the plant.  The slender shiny brown stems tend to be a little zig-zaggy.  The leaves are glossy dark green often turning purplish or reddish orange in autumn.  The flowers are double and snowy white blooming along the bare branches. This plant has withstood the test of time.  It has be seen growning around farms and residences for 100 years.  Plant in full sun to part shade in well drained soil.  Deer tolerant and attracts butterflies. Height: 4-9 feet tall and 6-8 feet wide.  Hardy in zones 4-8.  Plants are shipped in 1 gallon containers.
