Citrus unshiu ‘Brown’s Select’
Medium to large seedles fruit matures mid October to early November, The fruit has a delicious sweet tangerine like flavor with an easy to peel skin. Brown’s Select is on Flying Dragon trifoliata rootstock. It will flower and bear fruit next year. Best grown in a whiskey barrel size container in areas with harsh winters. Plant cold hardiness at 28F but if there is fruit on the tree the fruit will freeze at 32F. Height 5 to 6 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide when grown in a container. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Hardy in zones 9-10. We offer this plant in a 3 gallon size which is shipped bareroot.
