Pyrus communis “Moonglow’
A yellow pear with a red blush that ripens in late August through September. This juicy mild tasting pear is good for fresh eating as well as canning. Moonglow is grafted on Calleryana rootstock. It will require 950 hours of chilling and a cross pollinator to produce fruit. A good choice for a pollinator would be Warren or Ayers. Height at maturity 15 to 20 feet. Resistant to fire blight and an excellent pollinator variety. Hardy in zones 5-8. Trees are a 3 gallon size and are shipped bare root.
