Pyrus communis ‘Ayers’
A very high quality soft yellow with a red blush dessert pear. Good for fresh eating. Fruit ripens in August. Good resistance for fire blight and disease. Our trees are grafted on Calleryana rootstock. They will make a 15 to 20 foot tree when mature. Ayers needs 950 hours or chilling and a cross pollinator such as Moonglow or Warren. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Trees are a 3 gallon size and are shipped bare root.
