Prunus cerasus ‘Montmorency’
Montmorency is a self-fruitful sour cherry that ripens in June. Montmorency cherries are considered the best for cherry pies and preserves. The fruit is large with bright red skin and yellow/amber flesh. Our trees are grafted on Mahaleb rootstock and will be 18 to 25 feet tall at maturity. Requires 1000 hours of chilling. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Hardy in zones 4-8. A good pollinator. Trees are are 3 gallon size and are shipped bare root.
