Description
Prunus avium ‘Black Tartarian’
Black Tartarian is a rich sweet cherry with purple/black skin that ripens in June and July. Our trees are grafted on Mazz/Maha rootstock and will be 18-25 feet tall at maturity. This cherry tree requires 900 hours of chilling and a pollinator to produce fruit. Montmorency or Compact Stella would be good choices as pollinators. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Hardy in zones 4-8. Trees are three gallon size and are shipped bare root.
