Malus domestica ‘Granny Smith’

This apples gets it name from its founder Mrs. Mary Ann (Granny) Smith.  This apple has bright green skin, is tart, crisp and juicy and ripens in August through October.  Great for baking, sauces or eating straight from the tree.   Our trees are grafted on EMLA 106 rootstock and will be a 10-21 foot tree at maturity. .  Granny Smith requires 600-800 chill hours. Hardy in zones 5-9.  Another apple variety is required for cross pollination in order to produce fruit.  Trees are 3 gallon size and are shipped bare root.
