Malus Domestica ‘Cumberland Spur’
Cumberland Spur was discovered as a sport at Crow Mountain Orchards in Flackler, Alabama. It is a red delicious type apple with firm sweet juicy flesh with superior flavor. The fruit is harvested in August and September. Our trees are grafted on EMLA 106 rootstock and will be 8-16 feet tall at maturity. Requires 900-1000 hours of chilling. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Hardy in zones 3-8. Another apple variety is needed for cross pollination in order to produce fruit. Trees are 3 gallon size and are shipped bare root.
