Malus domestica 'Southern Gold'

Southern gold has mild sweet flavor and yellow flesh.  It is great in baking, applesauce and eating fresh out of hand. It is grafted to EMLA26 rootstock and will grow to be a 10-16 foot tree requiring 900-1000 hours of chilling.  Fruit ripens in August-September.  Another apple variety is required for cross pollination.  Our trees are shipped bare root.
