Malus domestica 'Jonagold'
Jonagold is a cross between a Golden delicious and the Jonathan apple developed in the 1940's. It is delicious eaten out of hand or can be used in cooking and baking. Jonagold is grafted on EMLA 26 rootstock and it will be a 10-16 foot tree requiring 1000 hours of chilling. The pollen is sterile on the Jonagold which means that it will not pollinate another variety of apple tree. In this instance you must disregard Jonagold as a pollinator and have two other apples as pollinators. Our trees are shipped bare root.
